Girls recognized for being in STEM

Recently, I read an article about an Award that recognizes efforts to inspire girls to pursue science careers. The Nature Research and The Estée Lauder Companies honor two initiatives to encourage girls and young women in the United States, Ghana, Nigeria, and Pakistan. These girls are role models to both me and the rest of the world, as they helped to inspire girls to pursue science careers by removing psychological, societal and financial barriers through providing mentoring, equipment and inspiration.

The two women are pictured here:

This is very inspirational to me, as it shows that woman is making a huge impact on the scientific fields today, as well as empowering girls who do not have the proper resources to be noticed. It makes me want to become a better person as well and to continue aspiring to do these amazing things, like Doreen Anene and Jean Fan.
